About the Household

We’re a busy, active couple who split our time between our primary home in Pebble Beach and our secondary home in San Carlos. Our household is relaxed, warm, and unpretentious — we love spending time with our three friendly cats, boating, scuba diving, taking photos, hiking the trails around our property, and hosting our friends and family around our pizza oven.

We care deeply about our home and the people in it. We’re looking for someone who feels comfortable rolling up their sleeves, reading the room, and helping keep life moving in a thoughtful, practical way. Our entertaining is centered around good food, good company, and a home that feels welcoming and well cared for.

Because we’re both away during much of the week, we’re looking for someone who can help hold down the fort and keep the household running smoothly. That might mean coordinating a contractor quote, noticing when something needs attention, resetting the kitchen, or handling the kind of small-but-important details that make a home feel calm and cared for.

Despite our active schedules, we value a sense of ease, warmth, and structure at home. Our ideal House Manager will help keep the day-to-day organized, anticipate needs before they become stressful, and take care of the details that would otherwise add mental load. In this role, you’ll be an important part of helping us enjoy our time at home with friends, family, and each other.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are a warm, capable self-starter who takes pride in your work and follows through. You don’t need a script to be helpful — you can take a vague direction, figure out the next best step, and come back with clear options or a thoughtful recommendation. You’re comfortable managing up with ease, reading the room, and keeping things moving without needing to be reminded.

You’re organized and detail-oriented, with a natural ability to create order behind the scenes. You enjoy streamlining systems, managing schedules, and making sure the little things don’t slip through the cracks. You’re tech-savvy, resourceful, and comfortable balancing household details with the bigger picture of what helps a home feel calm and cared for.

You communicate directly and efficiently, but with kindness, discretion, and good judgment. You understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality in a personal home environment and bring a steady, solutions-oriented presence to the household. You genuinely enjoy helping people and find satisfaction in making everyday life run more smoothly.

The ideal candidate brings practical, real-world home sense — someone who can triage a maintenance issue, evaluate a contractor, notice when something isn’t quite right, and help keep the household running well without adding extra mental load. A background in project management, personal assistance, and/or estate management would be a strong asset.

Above all, we’re looking for someone trustworthy, flexible, and warm — a reliable partner who can support the rhythm of the household with care, humor, and common sense. This role requires someone who can be trusted to manage household details, coordinate with vendors, and navigate personal information with professionalism, discretion, and good judgment. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, operates professionally, and understands the importance of maintaining the family’s privacy and trust. If you share our love of the outdoors, boating, or scuba diving, that’s a big plus. And of course, you must love cats!
