💵 $18/hour+, based on experience

Position Summary

The Household Care Partner provides direct support to Residents and their environment within a household-centered model of care. This role combines caregiving, hospitality, and wellness by assisting with activities of daily living, meal preparation, personal laundry, light housekeeping, and medication administration under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

As a member of a self-managed household team, the Household Care Partner helps create a warm, engaging, and supportive home environment where Residents can maintain independence, self-determination, and meaningful daily experiences.

What You'll Do

Champion an Innovative Approach to Dementia Care

  • Reinforcing and exercising a person-directed approach to aging.
  • Working from a strengths-based perspective to seek moments of joy and embrace the possibilities of a life lived forward.
  • Directs others to adopt a habilitative approach to care.
  • Providing comfort care to residents living with advanced memory issues that are aligned with the values of autonomy, ownership, and supporting a life lived forward even in its final stages.

Create a True Household Experience

  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages according to Resident preferences and household menus.
  • Assist with personal laundry and maintain clean, comfortable living spaces.
  • Help coordinate daily household life and routines alongside fellow Team Members.
  • Complete documentation of services and care provided.

Maintain Safety and Quality

  • Protect and promote Residents' rights.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and care procedures.
  • Safely assist with transfers and mobility according to care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and required in-services.

Qualifications

Preferred

  • Current CNA Certification
  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia
  • Background in whole-person wellness
  • Knowledge of healthcare principles and person-centered care practices

We Will Also Consider

  • Non-certified candidates willing to complete CNA training through Willow Valley Communities
  • Individuals who are passionate about serving older adults and interested in pursuing a career in healthcare
  • Candidates who value teamwork, compassion, hospitality, and relationship-based care

Medication Technician training will be provided.
