About the Role:

The House Team Leader at Essential Nursing and Disability Services is responsible for the operational leadership and day-to-day management of a NDIS residential house. This pivotal
role involves providing expert field supervision, coaching, and mentorship to support workers to ensure the delivery of exceptional, timely, and person-centered support. The core focus is maintaining the safety and well-being of participants, ensuring strict compliance with NDIS standards,
documentation, and incident management to achieve optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the house, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery.
  • Promote clinical safety by supporting medication management, infection control, risk management, and escalation processes.
  • Maintain effective communication with participants, families, Registered Nurses, Support Delivery Leaders, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise, coach, and support Support Workers to maintain high performance, compliance, and a positive team culture.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, incident reporting, and compliance with WHS, QUASR, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure participant care is person-centred, aligns with individual support plans, and meets NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive home environment that promotes participant wellbeing, independence, and dignity.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and team capability.

About You:

You are a proactive and compassionate leader with experience in the disability, community services, or healthcare sector. You are committed to delivering person-centred support, leading teams with integrity, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

You have strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise staff, build positive stakeholder relationships, and manage competing priorities. You are confident in making operational decisions, promoting a positive team culture, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the best outcomes for participants and the organisation.

Essential Requirements

  • Cert IV in Disability/Diploma in Community Services/Enrolled/Registered Nurse or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of demonstrated leadership and management experience in disability, community care, or similar service environment.
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • National Police Clearance
  • NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
  • Valid WA Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (as required)
  • Flu vaccination record 2026

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in NDIS, disability, SIL or community-based services
  • Confidence using systems such as ShiftCare, QUASR, Employment Hero, SharePoint or MS Office
  • Experience supervising or leading support teams
