Job Description

Flexible to AM and PM shifts, weekends and holidays

The Houseperson supports the housekeeping team by transporting and distributing clean linen throughout the hotel and assisting with room preparation. This role requires significant physical activity, including carrying linen from the lower-level laundry room upstairs to the main level and distributing to floors by guest elevator. The Houseperson is also responsible for stripping guest rooms of soiled linen to prepare for cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve clean linen from the lower-level laundry room
  • Carry linen upstairs to main level and distribute to guest floors via elevators
  • Stock floor linen closets to established par levels
  • Strip checked out guest rooms of used bed and bath linens
  • Remove soiled linen to designated areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of linen rooms, stairwells, and service areas
  • Assist in putting away incoming supplies and deliveries
  • Assist with moving furniture or turning mattresses during general cleaning as needed
  • Delivering cribs, rollaway beds, or other guest requests as needed
  • Vacuuming, clean public areas and restrooms when needed

Assist Room Attendants and housekeeping team as needed,

Requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to repeatedly transport heavy linen loads up stairs
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced en
  • Prior hotel or housekeeping experience preferred
