This part-time Latino House Manager is gender responsive, serving male identifying residents. Additionally, this position is culturally specific, offering culturally appropriate housing for Latino men. The House Manager is a live-in, part-time role that includes routine daily responsibilities and a required overnight residential presence in a recovery-focused group living environment. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, healthy, and A&D-free residence while fostering community, accountability, and trust among residents. The House Manager promotes harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices through daily interactions, crisis intervention, and collaboration with BTC staff and community partners. By overseeing household operations, facilitating house meetings, and supporting residents in their recovery pathways, the House Manager plays a key role in creating a stable, respectful, and supportive living environment.

Working Conditions
Environment and Physical Requirements: This position is based in a residential recovery environment and requires living onsite with BTC program participants and residents. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and may involve exposure to various environmental weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, and dust. This position interacts constantly with staff, visitors, program participants, government agencies, and others. The role may involve exposure to substances such as alcohol, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and biohazards (including bodily fluids) in the course of routine duties. Appropriate precautions, PPE, and training are provided in accordance with BTC policy and OSHA standards. The position stands, walks, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours, including movement throughout the residence and property, including stairways and exterior areas. The incumbent must be able to lift, push, pull and move files, supplies and equipment in excess of 50 pounds.
Emotional and Cognitive Demands: Work in behavioral health settings involves regular exposure to individuals experiencing emotional distress, crisis and/or unpredictable behavior. Staff may encounter verbally escalated interactions, trauma-related content, and situations requiring rapid assessment, sound judgment, and effective de-escalation skills. The role requires sustained emotional regulation, the ability to maintain professional boundaries, and resilience when supporting participants with complex behavioral health, substance use, and psychosocial needs. Crisis situations may occur with little warning and require immediate attention, adherence to safety protocols, and clear communication with team members.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position that requires residing onsite at a BTC residential recovery home and maintaining an overnight presence to support the safety and stability of the household. Although the position requires being onsite overnight, such presence is not considered paid working time unless active duties are performed, in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. Paid working hours are limited and generally average approximately one hour per day, with most duties occurring in the evening to verify resident curfew compliance and complete required household tasks. Actual work hours may vary and may include occasional additional duties during evenings, weekends, or holidays as program needs arise.
