Role: House Manager – Interim Care
Employment Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Blair Athol
In this role, you’ll work alongside a Case Manager and Therapeutic Specialist to create a safe, supportive, and structured environment for children and young people in residential care.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and mentoring staff, and young people to develop essential life skills, stay engaged in education, and maintain meaningful connections with family, community, and support networks.
This position is offered as a permanent full-time opportunity working Mondays (allocated as an admin day) 9:30am – 3:30pm, with Tuesdays to Fridays supporting the team on the floor from 7:30am to 3:30pm. There will be an on-call requirement (one day per fortnight, usually 3:30pm to 7am) with an on-call allowance payable in line with the SCHADS award.

This house is located at Blair Athol. There are currently three young people who are aged between 10-16 years. They have a variety of interests including gaming, music and watching movies.
The interim care model means that the cohort of young people entering care changes frequently, therefore it is essential that the successful candidate is adaptable and can quickly establish rapport and trust with young people.
Experience supporting young people who have experienced trauma and/or live with psychosocial or neurodevelopmental diagnosis, along with a calm and considered approach will be critical to your success in this role.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register checks
