About Our Family

We’re a busy, active family of six in Peoria, Illinois, with four young children, a sweet senior dog, and a home that has a lot of moving parts. One parent is home-based and takes great pride in creating a thoughtful, organized home, while the other works with a demanding and unpredictable schedule that includes 24-hour shifts. We are currently working toward a big basement renovation, which will bring some exciting changes to our home and create plenty of opportunities for extra organization and support along the way.

We’re looking for someone who can become a trusted right-hand person and partner in managing our home and family. Some days may involve the everyday things that keep our household running smoothly, like tidying, meal prep, errands, and staying on top of household needs. Other days may call for something completely different, such as setting up a temporary playroom, researching a local photographer for family photos, or helping bring another project or idea to life. We value someone who is comfortable wearing different hats, taking direction, and jumping in wherever support is needed.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You’re proactive, organized, adaptable, and someone who naturally notices what needs to be done. You take pride in a well-run home and enjoy creating systems that make everyday life easier. You’re comfortable taking direction and paying close attention to how things are done, while also bringing your own initiative and good judgment to the role. You’re willing to pitch in wherever needed and are comfortable moving between household organization, meal prep, errands, administrative tasks, and family support.

You genuinely enjoy working with children and bring a calm, capable, and caring presence to the home. You communicate clearly, follow through on your commitments, and are comfortable asking questions when something is unclear. You’re flexible and open-minded, knowing that the needs of a busy household can change from one day to the next. Most importantly, you’re someone who wants to be a true partner and trusted extension of the family, helping make everyday life feel more manageable.
