Schedule:

Start Date: September 2026
We're an on the go, high-achieving family living in the heart of Stanford. Both parents carry demanding professional careers, and our household runs at a fast pace. Our son (age: 8) is an active, curious kid with a full schedule of after-school activities, including competitive travel soccer, math tutoring, and piano lessons. We cook at home regularly, value a tidy and well-organized space, and genuinely enjoy hosting family and friends. While our schedules are busy, family time is incredibly important to us and we’d love to be even more intentional with the time we have.
We're thoughtful about who we bring into our home and we're looking to build a trusted, long-term professional relationship. We're not looking for someone to parent alongside us; instead we’re seeking a highly competent, experienced professional who takes ownership of their responsibilities, communicates clearly, and makes our home run smoothly so we can fully show up for our family at the end of the day.
Our household currently has support with bi-weekly cleaners and landscapers, and we’re entering an exciting season with larger projects and life changes on the horizon. A significant backyard landscaping project is getting underway and a puppy may also be joining our family later this year - adding even more fun, energy and personality to our home. With so much happening, having dependable, proactive household support to help manage all of the moving pieces of our daily lives in a seamless, effortless way would make a meaningful difference. We’re looking for someone who can confidently manage the day-to-day details, creating a sense of calm and consistency so our family can focus on enjoying this exciting chapter together.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned, competent household professional who doesn't need to be managed, is self-motivated and takes initiative. You take direction, understand the bigger picture, and run with it - confidently owning your responsibilities from start to finish. You don't wait to be told what to do next; you naturally anticipate needs, identify opportunities to improve how the household functions, and take thoughtful action while staying aligned with the family's preferences.
You're highly organized and proactive in your communication. You keep the family informed of anything they need to know, flag potential issues before they become problems, and present solutions rather than simply identifying challenges. You follow through without reminders, stay one step ahead, and understand that consistency and reliability are what build trust. You're coachable and resilient - you welcome feedback, adapt quickly, and don't take constructive guidance personally. You enjoy learning how a family likes things done so you can continuously refine your approach.
Professionalism is equally important. You understand the balance between being warm and approachable while maintaining healthy professional boundaries. You're comfortable working closely with a family, but you recognize that you're there as a trusted household professional. You respect privacy and confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and know when to step in and when to quietly work behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
You're dependable - you show up on time, keep your commitments, and understand that reliability isn't just appreciated, it's essential. Whether it's a school pickup, coordinating household vendors, or ensuring the family has what they need before they even ask, you take ownership and follow through. Fluent English communication is essential for the thoughtful, nuanced, and fast-paced coordination this role requires.
