August 2026 (timing flexible as family settles into new home)
We're a family of four who recently relocated from Portland to Oakland. Our household includes two energetic boys—a 9-year-old who's deeply involved in sports and performing arts, and an adventurous 2-year-old who keeps us on our toes—plus our sweet senior rescue dog. One parent commutes to San Francisco for work while the other works remotely from home.
As we settle into our new home and community, we would love support creating organization, establishing household systems, and helping us get fully settled into this next chapter. Our family visits for extended stays throughout the year, and we value the strong community connections we're building in the Bay Area. We're detail-oriented and appreciate organization.
We are both busy professionals, and much of what drives us to seek household support is the desire to create more time and space to be present with our children. We are looking for someone who can step in as a true household partner—someone who enjoys creating structure, staying ahead of the details, and helping our home run smoothly amid the busyness of family life.
While we are organized by nature, we often find ourselves planning day-to-day rather than weeks in advance. We would love someone who can help bring visibility and consistency to the household by managing schedules, coordinating appointments, anticipating upcoming needs, and ensuring everyone is informed and prepared for what is ahead. Whether it's keeping calendars organized, communicating weekly priorities, or helping create systems that keep the household running smoothly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys bringing order and calm to a busy family environment.
We are excited to welcome this level of support into our home and are looking for someone who is eager to become a trusted and valued part of our team. We hope to find a proactive, thoughtful partner who takes pride in helping our household run smoothly and who is excited to grow alongside our family as we settle into this next chapter.
You're a warm, approachable self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative without needing constant direction. You notice the small things—when supplies are running low, when a space needs attention, or when a task could be handled before it becomes a bigger issue—and you take pride in addressing those details proactively. You're organized, thoughtful, and appreciate systems, while also understanding that every family has its own rhythms, preferences, and way of doing things.
We would love to find someone who can help manage schedules, anticipate needs, create systems where helpful, and maintain the organizational tools and routines that keep our household running smoothly. More than simply completing tasks, you're someone who enjoys bringing calm, consistency, and structure to a busy home while helping everyone stay informed, prepared, and supported.
Because our children are such a central part of our family life, we're looking for someone who is comfortable around kids and enjoys being part of a family environment. While this is not a childcare-focused role, our children will naturally get to know you and build a relationship with you over time, so warmth, patience, and a genuine enjoyment of family life are important qualities.
Our ideal home feels warm, welcoming, functional, and thoughtfully cared for. We view this role as a true partnership and hope to find someone who wants to become a trusted and valued part of our household. We are looking for a person who takes pride in their work, cares about the families they support, and enjoys building long-term relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and appreciation. In return, we are committed to creating an environment where you feel welcomed, valued, supported, and genuinely part of the team. We hope to find someone who feels invested in our family's success and excited to grow alongside us as we settle into this next chapter.
