About Our Family
Based in Los Altos, we are a warm, bustling, active family of four with two young, bright girls (ages 4 and 7), who are in the process of settling into our new home. Our household runs on routine and intention: mornings are full of lively energy as we get the kids off to school, and the rest of the day is all about keeping our household running smoothly so that everyone can thrive. One parent works full-time in a demanding role and travels occasionally for work, while the other is home managing the household, including daily cooking, cleaning, tidying, organizing, and supporting the children’s day-to-day routines.
We care deeply about a well-run, highly organized home and a healthy environment where our daughters can flourish. We love fresh, whole foods, a tidy kitchen, and spaces that feel calm, organized, and reset. While we have some systems in place, with two young kids and our recent move into a new house, keeping everything on track and figuring out how to organize our new space efficiently has become incredibly time-consuming and is affecting our quality time together.
Although we have cleaners who come regularly, we’re looking for a seasoned, proactive house manager who can fill in the gaps in between—starting with creating and maintaining meaningful systems in our home, tackling laundry with attention to detail, resetting spaces, overseeing household inventory, and proactively handling organizational projects. This will allow us to focus on what matters most to us: having the time to be present as a family and partners, and prioritizing our well-being.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
You are a proactive house manager who has seen it all and doesn't need a detailed to-do list to show up and get to work. You are emotionally intelligent—you can easily walk in, read the room, and use good judgment to know what needs to happen and when. You understand the importance of showing up on time, communicating clearly, creating meaningful systems that truly hold up, and taking quiet pride in a refreshed, organized household that runs smoothly.
You are detail-oriented and thorough. You quickly notice what needs attention—a kitchen drawer that could be better organized, laundry that needs to be started, toys that could use a better system, an outdoor space that could be refreshed, a living room that needs to be reset—and you handle it seamlessly, without being asked. You are also warm and professional, and you understand how to work respectfully within a family household. Your energy is efficient and grounded—you would describe yourself as capable, self-directed, and comfortable jumping into a new space, immediately building systems and creating order.
Our ideal fit is someone who naturally anticipates needs, has high emotional intelligence, takes professional boundaries seriously, and has excellent time management skills. You can also balance competing priorities with ease and are comfortable taking cues from the family's rhythms—you know when it’s appropriate to step in or step back. You must be comfortable and have experience working with young children (ages 4-7) and feel aligned with a lifestyle that values health, wellness, and active, intentional living.
