About the role:

The House Lead - Disability Support Worker role supports and mentors a dedicated team of disability support workers. The role is responsible for delivering new staff training, as well as coordinating daily tasks, appointments, and meal planning. This is a people-focused role, with an emphasis on person-centred support.

What will I be doing?

Our House Lead- Disability Support Workers practice Person Centred Active Support (PCAS) and may be required to are range of activities to support the effective support of our clients and house. This will include:

  • Effective Handovers
  • Medication management
  • Conducting daily house meetings
  • Management of house
  • Client meal planning
  • Planning social and community activities
  • Conduct shadow shifts with new DSWs, including emergency management training.

About you

  • Minimum Certificate IV Qualification in a relevant area such as Disability, Community Services, or Aged Care (highly desirable with nursing experience)
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of excellence
  • Victorian driver's licence
  • Full Australian working rights
