Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: HSB - San Bernardino, CA 92408Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.90 - $17.50 HourlyJob Shift: AnyJob Category: Hospitality - HotelResponsible for the cleaning of all public and common areas and assistance with housekeeping and maintenance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
Clean entire grounds of trash and cigarette butts.
Run laundry and empty housekeepers’ trash.
Clean lobby, exterior windows, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, pool furniture, ice and vending machines.
Maintain cleanliness of dumpster areas, sand urns, exterior light fixtures, public benches, exterior of guest room doors.
Shampoo carpets as assigned.
Turn mattresses as assigned.
Clean guestroom sliding glass doors as assigned.
Report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Assist maintenance department with basic repairs (plumbing, carpentry).
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Supervisory Responsibility:
None
Independent Judgment Used:
Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels’ policies and procedures.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Entire exterior of property, lobby, laundry room and guest rooms. Access to entire exterior and interior of property. Use of approved cleaning agents.
QualificationsKnowledge/Education/Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar or related position.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
Basic cleaning skills. Basic maintenance skills helpful. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to communicate in English with guests, management and fellow team members to their understanding desirable. Dependable.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently walking indoors/outdoors, climbing stairs and ladders. Repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, crawling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 50 lbs. or with use of dolly. Exposure to cleaning agents.
