Purpose of the position

To develop and implement commercial strategies for hotel sales, managing distributor relationships and optimizing sales operations to maximize profitability in the market.

Main responsibilities and tasks

Sales Operation Management

  • Create and execute sales operations for the entire portfolio to achieve sales volume and distribution targets through distributors.

  • Regularly visit hotels within the route to maintain strong relationships and monitor market dynamics.

  • Use all sales tools effectively to plan and achieve cost-effective distribution and target quantities in the region.

Customer and Distributor Relationship Development

  • Develop and maintain profitable business relationships with key hotel customers and distributor sales representatives.

  • Manage distributor sales teams in alignment with scope and sales marketing goals.

  • Develop positive commercial and professional relationships with key personnel at customers’ headquarters and field levels.

Market Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Analyze market dynamics and competitive environment to inform commercial strategies.

  • Develop and propose improvements to enhance regional efficiency and overall performance.

  • Participate in commercial activities at national and local levels within agreed budget parameters.

Financial and Credit Control Management

  • Ensure payments from customers comply with commercial conditions and report creditworthiness concerns to management.

  • Control distributor stock levels and warehouse management in line with contract terms.

  • Organize expense forms weekly and ensure administrative procedures are completed within agreed timelines.

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and submit monthly activity reports and immediate term reports to the Area Manager.

  • Communicate competitor activities and market insights regularly to management.

  • Maintain accurate records of all customers and business activities using provided forms.

Qualifications

Education:Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or related fields.

Experience:3-5 years total job experience with at least 2 years in job-related sales and 2 years in managerial roles.

Capabilities:

  • Strong commercial and financial understanding including budget and profit/loss management
  • Excellent customer relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic sales plans
  • Effective team leadership, coaching, and motivational skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills
