Job Description

Summary of Functions
Responsible for greeting and assisting the guests of the Northern Quest Resort and Casino in accordance with AAA 4 Diamond /Forbes 4 Star standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensures compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians-Internal Contracts, and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures.
• Provide exceptional service to customers and employees when performing job duties and conduct oneself in a professional and businesslike manner to reflect Northern Quest’s high standard of excellence.
• Greetings everyone at all times. Smiles, makes eye contact and verbally greets guests and co-workers from arrival to the property through departure.
• Maintain organization and control of the driveway at all times.
• Direct team members on order of vehicles and need bell assistance.
• Maintain constant contact with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth guest arrival and departure.
• Assists guests getting in or out of automobile.
• Opens main entrance door for guests.
• Follow procedures regarding the handling of keys and valet ticket distribution.
• May be required to park and retrieve guests vehicles while on shift.
• Record any damage to vehicles upon receiving or accepting a vehicle.
• Report to supervisors about any dangerous vehicle prior to driving.
• Distributes information with current brochures, fliers and Resort information.
• Be knowledgeable about our array of services and respond to questions.
• Assists with maintaining cleanliness of front entrance of casino.
• Assumes responsibility for safe and correct care and usage of all vehicles and equipment used or assigned.
• Comply with resort safety and Loss Control Procedures
• Ensure control/protection of company assets.
• Ensure guest confidentiality standards are followed.
• Report unsafe conditions and anticipate hazards constantly.
• Report accidents or injuries to management or security immediately.
• Takes numbered tag from customer, locates vehicle, and surrenders it to customer.
• Use proper interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and employees.
• Works as a team with other associates to maintain the best service standards possible.
• Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Experience
• 3 to 6 months customer service experience required
• 1 year of NQRC valet experience preferred
• Experience in 4 star/4 Diamond hotel preferred.
Skills & Abilities
• Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
• Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and employees.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Education
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Other Requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License.
• Must have in possession a valid state driver’s license while on shift.
• Must be able to be insured by the company insurance carrier.
• Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Hepatitis A & B vaccinations are required as a condition of employment.
