About the Opportunity

Our client, a boutique hotel situated in Kuilsrivier, is seeking a friendly, professional and guest-focused Hotel Receptionist to join their Front Office team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a welcoming guest experience, managing daily reception activities and ensuring efficient front office operations during early and late shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous hotel reception or hospitality experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Good computer literacy and administrative skills.
• Experience using hotel booking or property management systems is advantageous.
• Professional appearance and friendly manner.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy periods.
• Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport are essential.
• Willingness to work rotational early and late shifts, weekends and public holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide professional, friendly assistance.
• Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
• Handle reservations, booking enquiries, changes and cancellations.
• Answer incoming calls and respond to emails professionally.
• Assist guests with information about hotel facilities and services.
• Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Complete general reception administration and filing.
• Maintain accurate booking and guest information on hotel systems.
• Coordinate guest requests with housekeeping and other hotel departments.
• Prepare accurate shift reports and handovers.
• Resolve guest enquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
• Maintain high standards of guest service and presentation.
