The Opportunity

We are looking for our next Front Office Manager — a confident, people-focused leader who will take ownership of the Front Office operation and help us consistently exceed the expectations of our guests and Associates.

As Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional arrival and departure experience, supporting and developing your team, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring the Front Desk operates efficiently and in accordance with Marriott and Crescent standards.

You will be a visible leader and role model who inspires your team to deliver outstanding service while maintaining a positive, professional, and welcoming environment.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and support the Front Office team, including Guest Service Agents.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee development.
  • Supervise the daily operation of the Front Desk to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable SOPs, LSOPs, hotel standards, and company policies.
  • Respond professionally and proactively to guest requests, concerns, complaints, and special accommodations.
  • Resolve guest challenges using sound judgment, empathy, and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Support group arrivals and departures to ensure a smooth and memorable guest experience.
  • Monitor Front Office operations to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue opportunities.
  • Remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused during high-occupancy periods, emergencies, and other challenging situations.
  • Build strong working relationships with guests, Associates, leadership, and other departments.
  • Maintain open communication and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Provide leadership and direction while actively supporting your team when needed — we believe great leaders are willing to pitch in.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

What We’re Looking For

You are a natural hospitality leader who enjoys working with people and knows how to create a positive guest experience while keeping a busy operation running smoothly.

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a hotel Front Office managerial or assistant managerial role.
  • Candidates without prior hotel Front Office management or assistant management experience will not be considered.
  • Previous experience working in a unionized hotel environment is required.
  • Flexible availability is required.
  • Weekend availability is mandatory.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Excellent guest service and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to remain composed and professional in challenging or high-pressure situations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with guests, Associates, and colleagues.
  • Basic mathematical skills and the ability to perform moderately complex calculations accurately.
  • Ability to use computer systems effectively and accurately enter information.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work continuously in a Front Desk environment.
  • Ability to identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations.

Preferred / Considered an Asset

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience working at a Marriott hotel preferred.
  • Experience with STAY PMS / POWER OF M considered an asset.
