Collegiate Hotel Group® is seeking a Baker/Cook to join Hotel 1928 and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain high sanitation and food safety standards in all baking and cooking areas.
Ensure organized and clean storage areas for all ingredients, baked goods, and prepared foods.
Properly handle, store, and label all ingredients and finished products at the conclusion of each shift.
Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Prepare baked goods, pastries, breakfast items, lunch, dinner, and banquet dishes according to hotel specifications and recipes.
Collaborate with management to create daily specials, seasonal menu items, and baked creations.
Maintain clean and orderly prep stations, storage areas, and ingredient par levels.
Perform other culinary duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED
Previous experience as a cook, baker, or in a culinary environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of food preparation, baking techniques, and health & safety guidelines
Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Team player with a positive, collaborative attitude
Commitment to exceeding guest expectations
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced kitchen environment
