About the location:

Set in the heart of the City, overlooking Tower Bridge and the Tower of London, Tower Bridge is the starting point for discovering London’s historic past, alongside its exhilarating present. As impressive inside as out, this famous five-star hotel remains the centre of attention, as a new chapter begins in its history. This beautiful grade II listed building and former HQ of the Port of London Authority has 100 rooms, 41 residential apartments of which 31 units are in a FS run transient rental program, a stunning ballroom which has hosted the inaugural Reception of the United Nations, 5 meeting rooms, a stunning destination spa with 8 treatment rooms, hammam, steam, sauna and swimming and vitality pool, and a fantastic Food and Beverage offering including Mei Ume (Chinese/ Japanese cuisine) and Rotunda (all day dining, afternoon tea & bar).

Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is seeking a Part Time Host or Hostess to join the team at Mei Ume, our celebrated destination restaurant offering contemporary Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

About Mei Ume

Mei Ume brings together two of the world’s most renowned culinary traditions in one vibrant and elegant setting. From sushi and sashimi to dim sum and signature dishes, the restaurant offers a dynamic dining experience shaped by creativity, precision, and modern flair.

The role

As Host or Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for all guests, managing the arrival experience with confidence, warmth, and attention to detail.

You will oversee reservations, manage the flow of the restaurant, and ensure each guest interaction is seamless, personal, and in line with Four Seasons standards. This is a highly visible role that requires strong organisation, professionalism, and a calm presence, particularly during busy service periods.

This part time position offers a structured schedule across three shifts per week, ideal for someone seeking flexibility while working in a premium hospitality environment.

What you will do

• Welcome guests with a warm, professional, and engaging approach
• Manage reservations, seating plans, and table allocation effectively
• Maintain clear communication with the restaurant and management team to optimise service flow
• Handle guest enquiries, requests, and special occasions with attention to detail
• Support busy service periods with confidence and organisation
• Maintain a polished and well presented front of house environment
• Represent the standards, style, and energy of Mei Ume and Four Seasons

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a host, hostess, or guest facing role within a restaurant or hotel environment
• Strong communication skills and confident guest interaction
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to multitask
• Professional, polished presence and attention to detail
• A positive and team‑focused attitude
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high‑profile environment
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (evenings required)
• Right to Work in the UK

• £24,000 annual package inclusive of base salary and service charge for a 3 day week
