Mika Coral Gables by Michael White is seeking an enthusiastic, polished, and hospitality-driven Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host/Hostess plays a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming, and seamless dining experience that reflects the restaurant’s elevated service standards.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival
• Manage reservations and waitlists using reservation platforms
• Escort guests to tables while maintaining floor flow and seating rotation
• Communicate effectively with management and service staff regarding guest needs and table status
• Answer phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
• Accommodate guest requests whenever possible with professionalism and poise
• Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
• Uphold the restaurant’s service standards, appearance guidelines, and hospitality culture

Qualifications

• Previous host/hostess or hospitality experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Passion for hospitality and guest experience
