Summary:
Hosts are the first point of contact for guests and set the tone for the dining experience. This role manages reservations, waitlists, and seating while maintaining a friendly, organized, and professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting and welcome guests warmly upon arrival
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and table assignments efficiently
- Communicate wait times and manage guest expectations
- Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide menu information
- Assist servers and managers in maintaining guest flow and satisfaction
- Ensure the entry and waiting areas are clean and organized
- Provide exceptional hospitality from arrival to departure
QualificationsRequirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating assignments efficiently
- Strong phone etiquette and ability to answer guest questions
- Warm, professional, and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during peak periods
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
