JOB TITLE: Host | Windsor Dining Room
Being a host is the first line of defense and most important job in a restaurant. You will be our primary resource person for ensuring the guest is greeted warmly and professionally. The host is responsible for taking guests to the correct table and servers are fairly being seated. As host you will be taking dining reservations both via telephone and in person.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE Previous work experience in food service is recommended.
RESPONSIBLE FOR Maintaining accurate reser¬vation system, greeting and seating guest accordingly.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to work and be “on your feet” for long hours each day. Must be able to lift and carry trays ranging from one (1) to fifty (50) pounds in weight.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Schedule includes weekends and holidays and may include long hours on a daily basis. Work takes place primarily in the dining room, although other serving areas in the resort are sometimes used.
HAZARDS ENCOUNTERED Spills or grease on walking surfaces; broken glassware or china; hot food, dishes or beverages.

SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to problem-solve quickly when necessary (as during service hours). Good guest relations’ skills. Good communication and organizational skills.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to read, write and follow verbal or written instructions. Ability to speak and understand English.
PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS Must genuinely enjoy working with the public and take pride in rendering fine service. Cheerfulness, a calm manner, flexibility and the ability to work in a team environment are essential.
