PRIMARY PURPOSE:

As a Host Cashier, you will be responsible for monetary transactions. You will also set the stage for the guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.

Position: Part-Time Hourly
Location: Gold Strike Casino

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure procedures are being followed.
• Operate the POS system.
• Handle money and credit transactions.
• Notify the manager on duty of any guest concerns.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of Food & Beverage Cashier or equivalent experience in a cash-handling position
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in a high-volume food outlet.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced and stressful environment.
• Knowledgeable of a Point of Sales (POS) system including handling all monetary/credit transactions; including working knowledge of computerized cash registers.
• Knowledgeable of food and beverage operations and procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position may require strenuous physical activities and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoking. An ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays may also be required.
