Part-time
Description
At Steel City Pizza Company, we believe great hosts don’t need to be reminded how important first impressions are — they already understand it.
If you believe welcoming guests is about more than seating tables — and you want to treat the dining room like it’s your own — we want to meet you.
If you naturally welcome people, stay aware of your surroundings, and take pride in creating a warm, orderly space, you’re probably who we’re looking for. We can teach systems and seating charts. We can’t teach presence, care, or responsibility.
This role is for someone who treats the dining room like their own home — making sure it feels clean, comfortable, welcoming, and well cared for at all times.
Who You Already Are
You notice when guests walk in and when they’re waiting too long. You care about how the room feels, not just how full it is. You understand that hospitality starts the moment someone crosses the threshold.
You take ownership of the dining room the way you would your own space — keeping it organized, flowing, and inviting. You communicate clearly with servers and managers because you know great service depends on teamwork.
You stay calm when it’s busy, adjust quickly, and handle what needs attention without being asked.
What We Value
We value people who treat shared spaces with care — who act like owners, not renters. People who respect the guest, the team, and the experience we’re creating.
First impressions set the tone for everything that follows. We take that seriously.
What You’ll Get
A professional, team-oriented environment where hospitality matters. Leadership that respects awareness and initiative. A role where your attention to detail and care for people truly make a difference.

Salary Description
$12 -14 per hour + Tips

Steel City Pizza Company was born in the ‘Burgh and raised in the South—a
mix of northern grit and Southern hospitality. We started as Giuseppi’s Pizza &
Pasta in Mt. Pleasant in 2005. We had a simple goal: bring that neighborhood
pizza-shop feel we grew up with down here to Charleston. In 2012 we opened
in N. Charleston and became Steel City Pizza Company. Our name honors
our roots and the people who inspired us: the ones who built America with
their hands, their hustle, and their heart. In 2019 we opened in Summerville,
carrying that same spirit forward.
Still locally owned, still built from scratch, and we’re not done yet—more
locations are on the horizon, and we’re just getting warmed up. We do things
the Steel City way—fresh dough made daily, big flavors, and a passion for
creating great experiences around delicious food. Because around here, we
don’t just make pizza—we build it.
