Passenger Service Officer

Join SeaLink South Australia—one of the state’s most trusted and well‑established transport providers—while completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Hospitality over a two‑year traineeship, supported by MRAEL

This traineeship offers a hands‑on pathway into the hospitality industry, combining real workplace experience with formal training. You’ll develop essential skills in customer service, food and beverage service, and day‑to‑day hospitality operations while working in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment.

This structured pathway sets you up for a long‑term, dynamic career in hospitality, opening doors to future roles in cafés, functions, events, and hospitality leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide friendly, professional customer service in the Ferry Café
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in line with food safety standards
  • Assist with daily café operations including cleaning, restocking, and cash handling
  • Support passenger experience onboard by delivering efficient and welcoming service
  • Work as part of a close‑knit team to ensure smooth operations during peak travel times

Roster: 7 days on / 7 days off (Wednesday–Tuesday), including weekends and public holidays

About You

We’re looking for applicants who are motivated, reliable, and passionate about hospitality and customer service.

Essential:

  • Reside near Cape Jervis or on Kangaroo Island
  • Driver’s licence and reliable transport
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Willingness to work shifts that include weekends and public holidays
  • Positive attitude and willingn ess to undertake formal on‑the‑job training towards a Certificate III in Hospitality
