The Parliamentary Hospitality and Events team is dedicated to showcasing New Zealand's premium hospitality services and products while delivering memorable experiences at Parliament.
The team manages several food and beverage venues within the Parliamentary precinct, each offering a unique experience. These include Copperfields Café, the Pint of Order bar and New Zealand's premium dining cuisine restaurant, Bellamys. The team also provides catering and hospitality services for the numerous functions and events held across the Parliamentary precinct.
As a Hospitality Crew Member, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service across Parliament's hospitality venues, primarily within the Pint of Order bar.
This is a permanent part-time position working approximately 20 hours per week. You'll provide a welcoming and professional experience for Members of Parliament, Parliamentary staff and guests, serving food and beverages, maintaining presentation standards and helping ensure the bar operates smoothly and efficiently.
While your primary focus will be supporting the operation of the Pint of Order bar, you'll also assist with catering, hospitality and events across the Parliamentary precinct when required.
No two days are the same. You could be preparing the bar for service, engaging with customers, assisting with a Parliamentary function, serving canapés at an event, or supporting hospitality services for high-profile visitors and guests.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work within a fun and energetic team while contributing to memorable experiences at the heart of New Zealand's democracy.
We're seeking people who love delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive customer experiences.
You'll ideally have:
A current Duty Manager's Certificate or LCQ would be advantageous but is not essential.
We're a living wage employer and you'll receive an hourly rate of $28.95 p/h.
