The Opportunity

We’re seeking experienced and professional Security Officers in Rockingham, Fremantle & Armadale to join our team in a casual role supporting WA hospitals with responsive, short-term and ongoing assignments. This is more than a watch-and-report role, it’s about being part of a compassionate, highly skilled team that protects vulnerable patients and supports clinical staff when it matters most. The day-to-day responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Supporting hospital staff in managing patients with complex needs
• Liaising closely with nurses, hospital staff, and security officers to ensure a coordinated response
• Monitoring entry points, managing crowd flow, and deterring unauthorised access
• Responding to and helping de-escalate aggressive or volatile behaviours
• Conducting regular patrols, static guarding, and access control
• Providing one-to-one patient observation

About you

• Experience in healthcare, mental health, or other high-sensitivity security environments
• Confidence engaging respectfully with patients, staff, and visitors
• Calm decision-making and strong observation skills
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality
• Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in de-escalation techniques

Eligibility for the role:

• Certificate II in Security Operations
• Valid WA Security Licence & ID
• Current Provide First Aid Certificate and current CPR (within 12 months)
• Current National Police Clearance (no more than 6 months old)
• Current unrestricted Manual Drivers Licence
• Current Working With Children (WWC) card (or willingness to obtain)
• Vaccination history or serology evidence of immunity (or willingness to obtain)
