
We are looking to hire a Physical Therapy Supervisor to join our rehab team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Supervisor of hospital Physical Therapy Wound Clinic which provides outpatient and inpatient wound care within our Rehab department. Responsibilities include direct supervision of team of 13 physical therapists and clinical program oversight for PT wound care services at Methodist Hospital and our outpatient clinics in Burnsville and Maple Grove. Full time role includes 80% direct patient care (both inpatient and outpatient) and 20% administrative time. Previous wound care experience required.
The supervisor is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Head + Heart, Together, are achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency assessment, compliance with regulatory standards, JCAHO, OSHA, professional organizations, and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction.
The supervisor serves as a link between team members and upper-level management regarding system wide policies, procedures, and events. The supervisor is expected to provide direct patient care in their area of clinical expertise in accordance with determined departmental business need.
The Physical Therapy Supervisor will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians, and other internal/external customers. The supervisor will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. As a therapist, supervisor will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics.
Work Schedule:
five 8-hr shifts per week; occasional weekends
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Graduate of an accredited school with a Doctorate, Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Licensed with the MN Board of Physical Therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient with communication and data processing equipment.
Proficient in clinical equipment and technology related to area of expertise. Proficient in organization’s electronic medical record software.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in clinical profession preferred.
Recommend membership in related professional organization.
