Burtch Animal Hospital in Kelowna, BC is looking for a Hospital Manager who’s passionate about team culture, operational excellence, and delivering standout client and patient care. We welcome applications from RVTs or Veterinary Assistants who are interested in stepping into management while still spending time working alongside the team on the clinic floor.

In this role, you’ll partner closely with the Managing DVM to lead day-to-day operations and shape a thriving, high-performing clinic environment. You’ll help us drive results, develop your team, and engage every client interaction with empathy and clarity.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead with a balance of heart and strategy, developing a high-performing team, delivering coaching, and fostering a positive culture.
• Own hospital operations including payroll, inventory, policy compliance (CVO/Controlled Substances), and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with the Managing DVM to support staffing needs, from hiring and onboarding, to performance management and team building.
• Ensure an exceptional client experience, resolving issues with compassion, professionalism and focused on solutions.
• Use your problem-solving and planning skills to manage costs, optimize revenue, and support long-term success.
• Lead through ambiguity with confidence, courage, and clarity, knowing when to adapt, when to push forward, and how to keep the team aligned through change

Bonus Points:

• Previous experience in veterinary, dental, healthcare, or hospitality leadership.
• Familiarity with tools like Dayforce, Microsoft Suite, or PIMS.

Compensation:

• $65,000 - $75,000 annual salary, depending on experience
• Eligible for bonus opportunity
• Health/dental benefits and RRSP matching
