If you are passionate about making a difference, we invite you to become a vital part of our dedicated team as a Lab Technician. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a stable blood supply for patients in need. The primary responsibilities include collection of blood and blood components from allogeneic and autologous donors, assessing donor/patient eligibility according to defined criteria, and perform automated and blood collections using apheresis equipment. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and flex to cover other shifts as needed.
We are seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated individual who can:
•Engage with the community to promote blood donations and drive participation at collection sites, contributing to meeting the crucial needs of hospitals and patients.
•Provide logistical support for all operations, including driving the team to and from sites, setting up equipment, and assisting with event coordination.
•Utilize software systems for donor registration and data entry, maintaining meticulous records to uphold regulatory standards.
•Conduct daily quality control checks on equipment and supplies, upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Salary Range: $27.71 - 36.60
•Hold a CPR or BLS certification.
•Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET).
•Maintain a valid California Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.
•Obtain LiveScan clearance.
•Have ability to work at all operational locations.
•Demonstrate flexibility to work alternative hours, including early mornings and late evenings, as required by blood drive assignments. Blood drive assignments may sometimes start as early as 4:30am and end as late as 8:00pm.
•Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays.
•Have basic computer skills, including internet navigation, email correspondence, and word processing.
