
HOURLY RANGE: $18.44 - $23.78
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves performing a variety of maintenance and cleaning duties at the Erie County Medical Center Corporation. The incumbent performs a wide variety of cleaning, maintenance and sanitary duties in an assigned unit or area of the hospital. Work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher-ranking supervisory employee of the hospital. Does related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of the properties of various cleaning substances, ability to understand and follow verbal and simple written instructions; ability to stand, stoop, bend and stretch for long periods of time; thoroughness; dependability; physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
There are no education or experience requirements. Applicants must be able to perform light to moderately heavy physical labor and be able to read and understand the English language.
NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
