
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Hospital Director of Operations (HD) to lead an AAHA accredited, large, multi-specialty veterinary hospital within Ethos Veterinary Health, Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) This leader will oversee the hospital’s day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest quality of care for animals while driving financial and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in matrixed organizations, a passion for veterinary medicine, and a proven ability to build meaningful relationships across all levels of the hospital.
This individual is a highly approachable, people-first leader who leads with humility, transparency, and strong communication. They are comfortable being present on the hospital floor, engaging directly with team members, listening to concerns, celebrating successes, and building trust through visibility and connection. The right candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys being part of the team, values collaboration, and fosters an inclusive, supportive culture where employees feel seen, heard, and valued.
You will play a critical role in envisioning the future, driving innovation, and engaging cross-functional teams, including support center colleagues, to foster an environment where excellence and compassion thrive.
