Works under the supervision of the Food Nutrition Services Manager to provide food and nutritional services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Provides technical assistance and/ or guidance to assigned staff in carrying out their work assignments. Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Weekdays- 11:30am-8pm, Weekdays- 6:15am-2:45pm

Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40

Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend

Food Safety and Sanitation

• Safely handles food in accordance with established FDA and MDA guidelines and practices.
• Follows daily sanitation schedule in performing assigned cleaning duties.
• Performs "clean as you go" activities and maintains high level of cleanliness in assigned work area.
• Washes dishes, utensils and equipment. Operates dish machine. Returns clean items to assigned storage areas.
• Ensures that all food is properly labeled, dated, and rotated.
• Collaborates with other areas of the department to minimize food waste.
• Maintains proper hand hygiene.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment after use.
• Other Duties as Assigned

Cafe Shift Lead

• Ensures an efficient flow of exceptional customer service throughout the cafe by providing backup in serving , stocking, and cashiering.
• Maintains and organizes product signage and pricing in appropriate areas
• Performs data entry tasks.
• Ensures that safe cash handling practices are followed
• Conducts quality, safety and sanitation audits.
• Holds shift staff accountable for completing assigned tasks and cleaning
• Effectively communicates with customers, staff, and other departments regarding any service changes, equipment issues, etc. that occur during shift.
• In the absence of the Group Leader or Manager, updates work assignments based on census and/ or staffing levels.
