Job Description

The Team:

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking applications from motivated and reliable individuals for the role of Casual Hospital Aide within the North West Renal Burnie Satellite Unit

The Hospital Aide provides high-quality support services to nursing staff to assist in the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred care within a specialised haemodialysis environment. This role contributes to the efficient day-to-day operation of the unit and supports the multidisciplinary team.

Casual staff are required to work flexibly across a range of shifts, including morning, afternoon shifts and weekends, to meet service demand.

The Role:

  • Provide non-clinical support to nursing staff in the delivery of patient care
  • Assist with preparation, cleaning, and turnover of dialysis stations and equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels and report shortages as required
  • Support patient comfort and wellbeing within scope of practice
  • Contribute to effective communication within the multidisciplinary team

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance withPublic Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
