Kline Galland Benaroya Community Services is seeking a dedicated and visionary Hospice Physician to join our exceptional hospice program. As a Hospice Physician, you will play a central leadership role in shaping patient care, mentoring clinicians, and advancing best practices in hospice and palliative medicine.
The Role
As a Hospice Physician, you will work collaboratively with the Hospice Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding medical leadership and patient care. You will lead one or more hospice teams, guide clinical decision-making, and ensure high-quality, compliant, evidence-based care for patients across the continuum. You may also serve as Acting Hospice Medical Director when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical care, symptom management, and care coordination for hospice patients, including home visits for symptom management
- Lead and participate in weekly interdisciplinary team meetings
- Oversee and occasionally conduct required face-to-face encounters and eligibility reviews
- Certify and re-certify hospice patients and review referrals
- Collaborate with attending physicians and community providers
- Mentor and educate nursing and clinical staff and rotating hospice and palliative medicine fellows
- Develop evidence-based protocols and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Share in weekday, evening, and weekend on-call coverage
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation

Qualifications- Washington State–licensed MD in good standing
- Hospice & Palliative Medicine board certification or board eligible preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to hospice care and interdisciplinary collaboration
