St. Joseph Hospice is seeking an Experienced Hospice Director of Nursing RN to join our patient care team in Shreveport, LA

Job Duties:

  • Supervise all patient care activities to assure compliance with current standards of accepted nursing and medical practice
  • Attend annual review and in-services
  • Actively participate in organization’s performance improvement activities
  • Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations and accrediting organization standards
  • Comply with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices
  • Resolve staff concerns, utilizing the grievance process as required

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Louisiana
  • Minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Nurse, one of these years must be full-time in providing direct patient care in a home health or hospice setting
  • One year supervisory and administrative experience

The team, including licensed nurse practitioners with experience in primary care and palliative medicine, works under the direction of physicians who are Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Palliative Care.

St. Joseph Hospice, a compassionate and competent leader in the hospice industry. The team works with physicians to formulate a plan of care individually tailored to the needs of the patient. St. Joseph Hospice offers Routine Hospice Care, Respite Care, Crisis Care and General Inpatient Care.

Sage Rehabilitation Hospital and Outpatient Services offers an intense comprehensive program, utilizing a team of rehabilitation specialists; to guide you or your loved one along an individualized treatment plan designed to maximize functional independence.

Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) offers patients with complex medical conditions the continued intensive medical care they need when discharged from a traditional acute care hospital but need additional time to recover before they can go home or be admitted to a rehabilitation hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Capitol House provides a "home away from home"​ for those unable to remain living in their own residence. Offering rehab, respiratory services (including vent management), skilled nursing and more, the staff at Capitol House is qualified and compassionate.

Companion Home Services helps each client feel comfortable and confident in their homes.
