We’re looking for a caring and dependable Hospice Aide (CNA) to support patients in senior living communities in and around Albemarle County. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on personal care, comfort, and companionship while building meaningful relationships with patients, families, and community care teams. In this role you will provide a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the well-being and comfort of patients. Key duties include:
Personal Care: Assisting with hygiene, toileting, mobility, medication, and meal preparation. Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording fluid intake/output, and reporting changes to the nurse supervisor.
Documentation: Maintaining electronic medical records (EMR) and documenting services provided.
Housekeeping: Performing light housekeeping duties in the patient area.
Patient Environment: Maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment while following infection control principles.
Emergency Procedures: Recognizing and responding to emergencies.
Professional Development: Maintaining competency and registration.
