We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospice Administrator / Executive Director to lead our growing hospice program in Simpsonville, South Carolina. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high-quality, patient-centered end-of-life care.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in hospice or home health, a solid understanding of CMS Conditions of Participation, and a passion for delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
- Oversee day-to-day hospice operations, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery
- Lead and support interdisciplinary teams including nursing, clinical, and administrative staff
- Serve as the primary liaison between staff and executive leadership
- Participate in on-call administrative rotation, including evenings and weekends as needed
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with CMS, South Carolina DHEC, and accreditation standards
- Lead QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement) initiatives
- Monitor patient care outcomes and implement performance improvements
- Maintain survey readiness at all times
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified hospice professionals
- Oversee staff orientation, training, and performance evaluations
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence
Financial & Business Oversight
- Manage agency budget, financial performance, and cost controls
- Ensure accurate billing, documentation, and reimbursement processes
- Oversee administrative and operational workflows
Program Development
- Develop and enhance hospice programs and services
- Use data and analytics to drive operational and clinical improvements
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory updates
Clinical Oversight
- Ensure appropriate clinical leadership coverage at all times
- Provide oversight in the absence of clinical leadership, as needed

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing (BSN or MSN required)
- Minimum 1+ year of leadership experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare administration
- Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, CMS Conditions of Participation, and South Carolina DHEC requirements
- Proven leadership, organizational, and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Preferred
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Hospice Administrator or Executive Director
- Experience leading teams through state surveys or accreditation reviews
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience
