Job Location: Bangor, Maine - Bangor, ME 04401The Hope House Kitchen Manager oversees all aspects of the Hope House kitchen to ensure the provision of high-quality services in alignment with the agency mission through the supervision of the Hope House kitchen staff.
This includes functional management of the program, staff training, direction, and supervision, volunteer education and relations, and execution of programming, including meal and pantry services, food pick-up and processing donations. The HH Kitchen Manager directly supervises kitchen staff assigned to shifts in the Food Hub kitchen in compliance with all Preble Street policies and procedures. The HH Kitchen Manager also participates in program development and evaluation, resource and systems development, and community  relations in support of the Program Director.
The schedule for this full-time (40 hours/week), 1st shift position is Monday- Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Qualifications
- Regularly work a full-time schedule, with consistent, predictable on-site attendance to meet program coverage needs, and work different and or extended shifts to meet program coverage needs, as needs arise
- Assist the Director in approving and timely processing of all Human Resource and payroll-related paperwork and documentation (i.e. time cards, hiring documentation, performance reports and reviews, and separation notices
- Valid Class C driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle records check results, according to Agency and business insurance requirements
- ServSafe certification (must be obtained within 60 days of hire and continuously maintained thereafter).
- Preferred: One to three years supervisory/management experience in food services operations in social services or nonprofit organization. Bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field, or comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ensure that all aspects of menu planning, food preparation and meal provision align with Preble Street’s Food Security Hub vision and standards.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position, with a pay rate of $29.19/hour. This position is also eligible for the overnight shift differential of $2.00 per hour for all hours actually worked between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
