WhatYou’llDo
The OPS Honors Program Staffmonitorsthe Honors Lounge,assistsstudents, andprovidesfront-line support by helping Honors students navigate academic planning and college success resources, including online support tools.
Keyresponsibilities will include:
Monitoring the Honors Lounge to ensure a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment.
Assisting Honors students withgeneral questionsanddirectingthem toappropriate resources
Guiding students in using online academic tools including creating academic plans and tracking academic progress.
Assistingstudents inlocatinginformation about transfer institutions and degree pathways.
Providing basic troubleshootingassistancefor online student systems.
Referringcomplex academic or advising concerns to Honors Program Director.
Maintainingconfidentiality of student information.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule
Monday through Friday-maximumof 25 hours per week.
Positions will work oneof the following shifts:

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technicalexpertisebut also a passion for education and student success.
A high school diploma or its equivalent, and two (2) years of progressively responsible secretarial and/or clerical experience; or a combination of education and/or experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong communicationand interpersonal skills
Comfortable using computer-based systems and online tools.
Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
Ability to explain academic processes and online systems clearly.
Dependable, organized, and punctual.
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
