Salary Range: $13,000.00 - $20,000.00 Base+Commission/month, Are you an experienced Collision Center/Body Shop Manager looking to move to the next step in your career?
Honda of El Cajon Collision Center is seeking an experienced leader who can build a strong team, deliver quality repairs, and provide excellent customer experience while managing a productive and profitable collision center.
Major Essential Duties
- Hires, trains, motivates, and monitors the performance of all body shop employees.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the body shop.
- Directs and schedules the work of all body shop employees.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business.
- Implements aggressive marketing plan to increase body shop business.
- Follows up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability.
- Monitors progress and completion of vehicles in the shop, ensuring that proper repair and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Checks quality of completed work.
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership's guidelines.
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Provides necessary training.
- Ensures that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly.
- Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and sends employees to appropriate training schools as needed.
- Monitors the maintenance of paint booths, frame straightening equipment, and other large, fixed assets to ensure long-term usage and value.
- Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5-7 years of management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with collision estimating and shop management system.

- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Must have Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications and I-CAR Certificate of Advanced Training.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
