Salary Range: $16.90 - $20.45 Hourly
The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively a highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individual for a part-time Homeschool Instructor position. This role primarily supports our Homeschool program and students, with additional responsibilities providing support to the Kid Zone program in the same facility.
This role is responsible for implementing curriculum and supervising children in a safe, supportive environment. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Homeschool Instructor will help to maintain a structured and positive setting for children by overseeing activities, reinforcing positive behavior, and upholding safety procedures.
Location: Mission Viejo
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position with shifts in both our Homeschool and Kid Zone program.
The following shifts are required for this role:
- Monday & Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday & Thursday 10:30am-1:00pm
The following shifts will be assigned as needed:
- Wednesday 9:00am-1:00pm
- Friday 4:00pm-9:00pm
- Saturday 8:15am-11:30am

Minimum
Qualifications:
- Minimum Age: 18+ years old.

Experience: 1 year experience working with children in a classroom setting required. Background in education preferred.
- Education:
- - 12 college units with 6 units in Child Development

- - - 6 units may be in Psychology, Sociology, Recreation, Physical Education, Art, and/or Music.

- Certifications:
- - First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
