ABOUT THE ROLE
Caring for others is truly acalling As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centredcare to older people living in their own homes, enabling them to remain independent and connected to their community.
You will deliver services in line with individual Support Plans, including:
Domesticassistance(cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)
Personal care (showering, toileting, grooming, feeding)
Transport to appointments,shoppingand social outings
Building strong, respectful relationships with clients and families
Following health and safety guidelines to keep everyone safe
Due to growing demand for our services, we are looking for Home Care Workers in the Eastern Suburb areas of Sydney including; Edgecliff, Malabar, Maroubra, Matraville, Randwick and Rose Bay.
ABOUT YOU
We areseekingproactive,compassionateand reliable individuals who are committed to providing excellent care and enhancing the quality of life of older people.
Essential Requirements:
Certificate III in Aged Care, Community Care or equivalent
Current driver’slicence
Reliable vehicle (registered with minimum third-party insurance)
Home care experience
Current First Aid Certificate
You will also bring:
Alignment with and willingness to uphold the Christian values and ethos of The Salvation Army
A strong customer service focus and excellent time management skills
Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer literacy and experience with documentation

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
