About Us:
At James L. West Center for Dementia Care, we believe dementia care is not just a service — it’s a calling. And our newest service line, James L. West at Home, is growing quickly.
We’re looking for a Home Care Scheduler — but not the kind who just fills in boxes on a calendar.
We’re looking for someone who can orchestrate care.
What You’ll Do:
This is not a behind-the-scenes-only position. This is the heartbeat of our Home Care team.
You’ll be the person who:
- Connects compassionate Care Partners with clients who need them most
- Welcomes and recruits new Care Partners into our mission
- In short: you’ll make sure no client feels forgotten and no Care Partner feels unsupported.
- Trains, mentors, and places them with the right families
- Steps in when shifts need coverage (and sometimes steps into the field yourself)
- Manages long-term care insurance documentation and payments
- Keeps client admissions paperwork organized and compliant
- Oversees incoming prospects and potential clients in our CRM
- Ensures schedules run smoothly — even when life doesn’t
-  Who This Job Is Really For
- This role requires more than scheduling experience.
- It requires someone who:
- Is naturally personable, warm, and outgoing
- Thrives in fast-paced environments where no two days look the same
- Can problem-solve calmly when three things need attention at once
- Is confident communicating with families navigating dementia care
- Balances heart and organization with equal strength
- Can build trust quickly with both staff and clients
- You must be someone who sees people — not just shifts.

- Prior scheduling experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of auto insurance
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to work full-time, in person (no remote option available)

Compensation: $20/hour
Schedule: Full-time, in-office
Why This Isn’t “Just a Job”
At James L. West at Home, you won’t just coordinate schedules.
You’ll help families stay together longer.
You’ll support Care Partners who are doing sacred work.
You’ll be part of an organization known as the leading dementia care experts in Fort Worth.
This position is for someone who wants impact — not just employment.
If you’re ready to be the steady voice, the calm problem-solver, and the connective thread between families and caregivers…
We’d love to meet you.

About James L. West Center for Dementia Care

The James L. West Alzheimer’s Center is a not-for-profit organization founded on the love and compassion of Eunice P. West, who witnessed the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease on her husband, Fort Worth business leader and philanthropist, James L. West. The West Center has been a pioneer from inception and is one of only a few comprehensive nonprofit Alzheimer's Centers of its kind nationwide. In addition to providing dignified and considerate care to those who live with Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias, the West Center also offers a variety of programs for those who care for loved ones living with the disease.

The James L. West Alzheimer's Center is also home to a senior adult day program that offers day time relief to caregivers who work outside of the home or need time to rest or run errands. The program allows socialization in a safe environment, where participants are cared for while their loved ones are away.

The concept that every phase of life is an opportunity to grow and learn new things, uniquely positions the West Center to serve as a community resource for research, education and training. Our affiliations with medical schools, nursing schools and even high schools have resulted in many medical professionals entering their fields with a healthy perspective on the complexities of caring for the aged.
