
Education: Graduate from an approved and accredited school of social work with a doctoral and/or master’s
degree in sociology/social work.
Licensure/Certification: Must hold current certification as a social worker, clinical social worker, or licensed clinical social worker. Must provide proof of current insurance against liability for personal injury, death or property damage that may arise due to employee’s ownership, maintenance, and operation of automobile. Must provide proof of valid driver’s license and renewals as mandated. Must provide own transportation to and from patient homes.
Experience: 1 year of social work experience in a healthcare setting. A minimum of two years supervised experience in health or related field, preferably in a setting
with a varied multi-disciplinary approach. Clinical experience in the area of grief and loss, family therapy and group activities or in a home health or geriatric setting is preferred. Experience in a social welfare agency is beneficial.
Mental/Physical Effort: Work performed is varied in nature and requires prolonged periods of close concentration to details and accuracy. Must be able to listen, problem-solve, investigate, and control stressful situations. Must be able to remain non-judgmental and be capable of separating personal beliefs and values from professional attitude and actions. Moderate physical effort is required.
