Home Care Educator

As a Home Care Educator, you will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of education for home care with an emphasis on ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Work in collaboration with the home care managers to ensure orientation, competency, development and integration of new colleagues as well as the ongoing development of current staff. Additional responsibilities include serving as the informatics liaison and providing education regarding competence with the multiple types of technologies (computer, electronic health record (Epic), learning management system, etc.) that are required for each role. The educator also functions as a liaison with schools, colleges and universities to coordinate student learning activities.

Pay Range: $40.44-$64.70 per hour (based on years of experience, education, skillset, and other factors)

Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Nursing education program, bachelor’s in nursing is preferred.
Certification in OASIS within one year (Home Care only)
Ten years of nursing practice, including five in Home Care is preferred.
Preferred CPR Instructor Certification.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications for creation of instructional documents, course curriculums, orientation materials and related visual aides
Must possess accurate and clear oral & written communication skills
