The DCX Home Based Accounting Assistant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having strong attention to detail, the ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

An individual needs to be self-motivated, trustworthy, and highly dependable. Because we are 100% remote, we are not there to look over team members' shoulders and must be able to rely on individuals to complete tasks assigned to them in a timely manner as well as to report their time accurately so we can analyze project profitability and areas of needed improvement.

This role will start as a 3-month contingent contract, with the possibility of being partnered with our clients in the United States. If selected by the client, the employee will then undergo a 6-month probationary period leading to a potential full-time position.

• Proficient in the Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

• Post-secondary degree or certificate related to accounting

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Accounts Payable

• Enter all invoices accurately into the Syncore system and/or QuickBooks
• Prepare weekly check runs based on current cash flow

Accounts Receivable

• Invoice all clients promptly upon order completion
• Make routine collection contacts to follow up on outstanding balances
• Issue past-due notices and client statements
• Process royalty entries and submissions
• Ensure efficient and accurate posting of transactions

Financial Reporting & General Duties

• Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Team

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of proven accounting experience.
• Language Proficiency: Very proficient spoken and written English communication skills.
• Working Schedule: Ability to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST (USA), Monday through Friday.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with the Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Google suite (Google Sheets, Gmail, etc.). Ability to perform clerical functions to support supervisors, including researching, tracking, and resolving accounting problems.
• Mindset & Attitude: Growth mindset, with openness to continual, ongoing training, love for business development and working with numbers

WHAT WE OFFER

• Salary Range: 27,000 - 35,000/ month
• Job Type: Full-time
• Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (USA)
• Workdays: Monday through Friday (USA)
