UIB is now launching a dedicated residential channel - bringing their world-class smart home and home automation solutions direct to New Zealand homeowners. Think premium AV, intelligent lighting, security, climate control, and full-home automation - all integrated seamlessly under one provider. To grow this exciting new B2C market, UIB is looking for a sales-savvy Home Automation Sales Specialist who knows how to engage everyday consumers and build a pipeline from scratch.
The Opportunity
This is a new-business B2C role with genuine autonomy. You'll own the residential sales channel - attending home expos, building referral networks, running digital lead generation, and converting warm prospects into loyal customers. If you've sold to homeowners before - whether in real estate, interior design, or premium consumer products - you already know what it takes to win trust and close.
What You'll Do
· Drive B2C sales of UIB's smart home and home automation solutions to residential homeowners across Auckland and beyond
· Represent UIB at home expos, lifestyle shows, and community events to generate leads and build brand awareness
· Establish and execute digital marketing strategies - social media, paid ads, email campaigns - to generate and nurture a B2C pipeline
· Conduct in-home or virtual consultations to understand client needs and present tailored smart home packages
· Guide clients from initial enquiry through to signed agreement - managing the full sales cycle
· Work closely with UIB's technical delivery team to ensure smooth handover and client satisfaction post-sale
· Track and report on pipeline, conversion rates, and lead sources to continuously improve performance
What You'll Bring
· Proven B2C sales experience - backgrounds in real estate, interior design, home products, or premium consumer goods are highly regarded
· Confidence at home expos, trade shows, or consumer-facing events - you know how to attract and engage a crowd
· Hands-on digital marketing experience - social media, paid advertising, lead generation, or email campaigns
· Strong ability to build rapport quickly and guide consumers through a considered purchase decision
· Self-motivated with a hunter mentality - you don't wait for leads to come to you
· Tech-savvy with the ability to explain smart home products in plain language - no deep technical background required
· Excellent presentation and communication skills - polished, professional, and personable
