We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join the Borçelik team.

Job Description

• Manage the procurement of indirect materials, services, and capital expenditures in line with company policies and procedures
• Conduct supplier market research, identify alternative sources, and manage the quotation and bidding processes
• Analyze and compare supplier proposals based on price, quality, delivery lead time, and technical compliance
• Prepare, monitor, and renew procurement contracts as required
• Create purchase orders, track delivery processes, and ensure effective coordination with relevant internal stakeholders
• Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, and service criteria, and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and support projects aimed at achieving procurement budget targets and cost reduction objectives
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and industry developments to contribute to the enhancement of procurement strategies
• Prepare procurement-related reports and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders
• Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable legal regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Previous experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing is preferred
• Good command of English, with the ability to effectively manage reporting, business correspondence, and meetings
• Proficiency in SAP and/or similar ERP systems
• Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and data analysis
• Knowledge of cost analysis, supplier evaluation, and contract management processes
• Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making skills
• Effective negotiation and bargaining skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Strong planning, coordination, and follow-up skills
• Results-oriented, responsible, and a collaborative team player
