Job Description

Leads the strategic development, funding, and operational execution of HIV/FACES grant programs to support high-quality, sustainable clinical services and health outcomes. Ensures alignment of grant-funded initiatives with organizational priorities through effective financial management, partnerships, and program oversight.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides overall direction for the development, implementation, and evaluation of grant programs by establishing priorities, developing policies and procedures, and defining goals and success measures aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Leads efforts to secure, sustain, and diversify funding streams through grant writing, business planning, and partnership development while ensuring effective stewardship of financial resources.
  • Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for grant-funded programs, ensuring fiscal accountability, compliance, and alignment with operational needs.
  • Ensures programs meet regulatory, contractual, and performance requirements through ongoing monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Works directly with Principal Investigator(s) as a liaison to community organizations, community contacts, and other interested parties to secure donations, funding, and resources, and to establish collaborative partnerships and other cooperative initiatives.
  • Builds and sustains partnerships with internal leaders, clinicians, and external stakeholders to coordinate services, advance program goals, and expand impact across systems of care.
  • Directs, develops, and evaluates staff, fostering a high-performing team responsible for delivering program objectives and maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Represents the organization in community, governmental, and professional forums, promoting programs and advancing HIV health initiatives.

Education Requirement:

Master’s degree in Business, Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience, required.

Experience:

  • 10 years experience in program planning and administration, including leading successful business development proposals.
  • Experience with clinical research programs preferred, ideally within an academic medical setting.
  • Demonstrated success in program development and management.
  • Experience managing budgets and grant funding.
  • Proven ability to lead staff development and performance management.
  • Positive presence with the ability to listen, reflect, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse audiences, as well as speak confidently and competently in public forums.
