
The Washington University Histology and Innovation Services Center (WHISC) is seeking a part-time, as-needed Histology Technician to support animal tissue processing and histopathology services within the centralized animal histology core. This position performs routine and specialized histology procedures for preclinical and translational research studies, including tissue processing, embedding, slide preparation, and quality control. The technician will work collaboratively with WHISC staff and investigators to ensure high-quality specimen preparation while maintaining laboratory safety, organization, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical histology skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage variable workloads in a fast-paced research environment; prior experience with animal tissues and core laboratory operations is preferred.

Salary Range
$20.57 - $30.84 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
